THE POETS

Poets do not struggle
with bullets and knives,
they write verses, sing
and extend their hands.

They yield in inspiration
in the hours of loneliness,
they count with verses and strophes
fine weathers and storms.
Poets do not love
simply for love.
They write verses for naked bodies
before they touch them.

They are absorbed by love and swim
in love’s depths
and after, they write poems
for “the moment” that is lost…

SOUNIO

I still remember
that August afternoon at Sounio.
The waves to engrave the reef,
tourists taking photographs
of the eternal marbles of the temple,
the breeze mixing up our hair.
Love playing hide and seek
between the columns
and our the gaze
absorbing by endless blue.
A summer remembrance
– of a transient love –
an August afternoon at Sounio.

FOR YOU

For you that you promised me
flowers with a look
and it was late when I understood
that you were a lie…

But I do not give up my life.
Women like me
Know how to fight
without help in the arena.

of sky.

THE KEY
Very lucky is the one who will be able
to open the cellar of the soul
if he finds it enjoyable
he should keep the key.
With that key to open it,
when he feels loneliness
every heartache will go away
so the heart will be lighter.
Sadness, pain to sow
passion, hidden happiness
tightly to hold
the dreams he wants.

IT’S YOU IN LOVE WITH ME
You are standing
there…
On the edge of a bit …
If you take the step
you are elsewhere …
and someone else…

Are the jasmines left alone?
Dire necessity
the return…
You smile!
I know.
It’s you.
And here.
You are standing there.
In… a lot of life!
White Rose!
Love.
…It’s you in love with me!

WORDS
Words that hit
like belts in your ears.
Stings, like salt on a wound.
Heavy, like iron.
Injures, like a gun.
Stabs, like a knife.
Hard, like a rock.
Hits, like a slap.
Cuts, like a razer.
Passes through you, like a bullet.
Ripping you , like a sickle.
Hurts, like stinging words.

sighs also.
