(Antje Stehn,dress of industial eggs)

Antje Stehn is an internationally renowned and an extraordinary arts personality.  A versatile and multi-gifted artist curating amazing arts and global recognized exhibitions, producing thought video productions and writing mind -blazing poetry. Her psyche-thudding   poetry lines are stewed in pots of visual imagery, her verses are fat with reason and throb with the beat of heart -raving rhythm. Her verbal dexterity entwined with strokes moral instruction dons her with the classical badge of artistic prowess.   Her life and that of others are a well-choreographed permanent   artistic exhibition. Likewise, we read metaphors all over her artistic installations. She brings lifeless objects into life.  Any keen audience is afforded to see breathing souls, resurrected lives and a reawakened humanity as dead matter is recycled back into life through mesmerizing artistic installations and thus the purpose of every artist, to give promise, to fulfill dreams, to bring back memories through allusion, satire and paradox.  One of her astounding pieces, a black woman is dressed in a  royal like garb with full  egg shells carefully strewn on a cloth garment  and as well that might want to project the essence of motherhood and  the power of woma-nity .In this three-pronged submission, Antje Stehn presents a set of installations, art pieces and powerful poetry. Poems are written in both English and German languages .  TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is greatly overjoyed by this powerhouse submission by Versatile Visual Artist, Multi-lingual Versifier and Distinguished Creative Arts Projects Curator Antje Stehn.  Together We Rise (Blurb by Mbizo CHIRASHA).

Unstitched threads

I’d like to show you the seeds

of jasmine in their husk

lying in the minimum space

folded one on top of the other

indistinguishable silent life

peel them from their pod!

word by word

isolated voices in form of a parachute

seeking their landing site

Freedom!

a nice word, right?

a sweater word

pulled over the head

hundreds of times with a sure hand

suddenly it’s the wrong way around

unstitched threads dangle

round the utopia

of an open society.

Antje Stehn (r.t)

Unvernähte Fäden

Schau mal die Samen

des Jasmins in ihrer Schote

auf engstem Raum einer neben den

anderen gefaltet

ununterscheidbar stummes Leben

nimm sie aus der Schale!

Wort für Wort

einzelne Stimmen in Form eines Fallschirms

suchen ihren Landeplatz

Freiheit!

ein schönes Wort

ein Pulloverwort

hunderte male mit sicherer Hand

über den Kopf gezogen

plötzlich falsch herum

unvernähte Fäden baumeln

um die Utopie

einer offenen Gesellschaft

Antje Stehn (r.t)

Changing

Derailed on the tracks of biology

overheated by media fever

fears stink like

burnt brake pads

imperceptibly gliding

down the respiratory tract

in the void

inside a house

insane scrawny loneliness

gesticulates

notches fall

through buttoned shutters

like silverfish from books

past life

carefully folded

is squatting

on the floor

Antje Stehn (r.t.) may,2020

Umsteigen

Entgleist auf den Schienen

der Biologie

medial überhitzt

Angst stinkend

wie verbrannte Bremsbeläge

unmerklich  kriecht es die Atemwege

hinunter

und wieder eine Leerstelle

In irgendeiner Wohnung

gestikuliert abgezerrt

der Irrsinn der Einsamkeit

Kerben fallen durch

zugeknöpfte Fensterläden

wie Silberfischlein aus Büchern

 vergangenes  Leben

säuberlich gefaltet

hockt am Boden

Antje Stehn (r.t.) 29.5.2020

Passaggio

Deragliato sui binari della biologia

surriscaldate dalla febbre mediatica

le paure puzzano come

i cuscinetti bruciati dei freni

impercettibili scivolano

per le vie respiratorie

e un altro vuoto

dentro una casa

gesticola smagrita

la pazzia della solitudine

gli intagli cadono

attraverso persiane abbottonate

come dai libri i pesciolini d’argento

la vita passata

accuratamente ripiegata

sta accovacciata

sul pavimento

Antje Stehn (r.t.), maggio 2020

Amalgam

I would like to hang from a gutter

like a big fat raindrop

instead of moving along whistling

with envy for the slow thinkers

who let their gaze roam

down the soft hairy forearm

my body is always in a hurry

I eat fast

I speak fast

I think fast

I run through dried out river beds

between endless walking legs

goats, wild horses

tents set up in the morning

and dismantled in the evening

with small wounds

left by the pegs in the ground

in the simmering undergrowth

thousands of pending sprouts

to understand all this in a single thought:

that’s the taste of rhubarb

on a rough tongue.

Antje Stehn (r.t.)

Amalgam

Ich würde gerne an einer Regenrinne hängen

wie ein dicker Tropfen

anstatt pfeifend voranzuschreiten

dieser gewisse Neid auf diejenigen

die langsam denken

den Blick über das weiche Haar

ihres Unterarms schweifen lassen

mein Körper hat es eilig

ich esse schnell

spreche hastig

denke stürmisch

renne durch ausgetrocknete Flussbetten

inmitten unzähliger Beine

Schafe Ziegen wilde Pferde

Zelte am morgen aufgestellt

abends wieder demontiert

am Boden die kleinen Schnittwunden

der metallnägel

im wimmelnden Unterholz

Keimlinge zum Austreiben bereit

all dies in einen einzigen Gedanken fassen:

Rhabarbergefühl

auf rauer Zunge

Antje Stehn (r.t.)

Amalgama

Vorrei pendere dalla grondaia

come una goccia grassa

anziché avanzare fischiettando

invidia verso chi pensa lentamente

facendo scivolare lo sguardo

sulla peluria morbida del braccio

il mio corpo ha sempre fretta

mangio veloce

parlo veloce

penso veloce

corro nei letti asciutti dei fiumi

fra infinite gambe in cammino

capre caproni cavalli imbizzarriti

tende montate la mattina

e smontate la sera

con le piccole lacerazioni

lasciate dai picchetti nel terreno

nel sottobosco brulicante

migliaia di germogli in attesa

comprenderli in un singolo pensiero:

questo il sapore del rabarbaro

sulla lingua ruvida
