Nancy Kili , your deep belly wail for Darfur is a great revelation of the anguish and the pain whipping the lives of the people every day of God . In Darfur lives are thrashed in mortars of poverty and are grinded unto grindstones of death . In this beautiful but blood jamming poetic rendition . Nancy Kili reveals to the reader how orphans of Darfur are spiked by merciless thorns of war. The death-rimmed and threadbare imagery is revealing of heart-rending emotional , nerve- stalking psychical and mind-boggling physical experiences of war pounded African nation. Darfur ,the land that has lost its salt . Its backside jabbed by stubborn bullets .Its breasts are torn apart by hungry grenades .Its belly persistently ripped apart by blood -loving bayonets. Laura Grevel, You are a brilliant wordsmith sanctified by the incense of paradox, anointed by holy -waters of allusion. Your lyrical standards are beyond reach similarly to a fully ripened succulent yellow mango fruit hidden somewhere onto the apex of mother- tree. Your prosaic – poetry vehemently beat the zenith of our psychical boxes and incessantly rave our blood streams .You roast spirits and their dreams in oil pans of your metaphor .You stew lives and promises in hot pots of burning irony. Your poetry is timeless. Worries, abundance, poverty, light and decay are all weaved onto the seam lines and pleats of your word-smiting. Your metaphors are bold and your voice is brave .Your poetry is a proverbial mix of cultural interpretations, spiritual promise, political meandering, literary dexterity, moral juxtapositions and social decay. It is potpourri of decadent humanity, struggling live hoods, politically veiled freedoms, disguised merriments and unions of conveniences ready to explode .Your poetry is truth carved onto the mirror of paradox and fleecy of irony. Truth that is true and does not sit steadily in the heart caves of many readers. Truth that rattles eardrums of the expectant audience .Truth that coils into souls like worms of anxiety. Truth that wipes the mist of hypocrisy, fogs of conspiracy and clears the dew of sugar – coated but pretentious diplomacy. Iam yet to find such heart pounding whims of truth on this clay earth. Grevel, we are profoundly gratified to archive your creativity , listening and reading your thought provoking poetry. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is humbled and yet excited to be associated with such immense talent, dexterity is not your distant cousin and prowess is disciple (BLURB by Mbizo CHIRASHA).

Three years ago I met Ana Pedroso, a Cuban poet who lives in Milan. She worked in the association Poetry is my passion which organizes events with the international artist community in Milan. Straight away we found out, that we were a perfect mixture of working-mentality, she has the Latin spontaneity and I have the German organization. In these three years we have organized more than 50 events in different places in Milan. We brought poetry to strange places like Jazz clubs, fashion fairs, in the courtyards, on the street. The aim is to bring poetry to people who normally don’t listen to poetry. We now are 5 In our team, Betty Gilmore , an afro -american blues poet singer, Rufin Doh a poet, and famous actor from Ivory Coast, Meisam Seraj from Iran, Ana Pedroso from Cuba and me the only European.
Her simplified verse is deep, as it raves the core of the inner of marrow and then cuts through our COVID 19 hardened mental boxes to reawaken of consciousness. Her pen spits metaphors carefreely. Rouweler was born with a poetry golden spoon stuck on her tongue, baptized and sanctified by the incense of word culture. Hannie’s poetry interrogates history, lifestyles and the political moments. Her vivid imagery depicts cultural diversity, human excitements and stereotypes. In some instances, the poet is nostalgic of the peaceful past that was endowed with promise, hope and harmonious routine and as the present ridden with sorrow, laden with grief and disease infested. The poem AGAINST TIME is a prolific story told and written with the style of poetry. These lyrical dexterities presented in this versification qualifies Poet Hannie Rouweler into the Poetry Defenders Hall of Fame, already Rouweler is a staunch defender of poets, their rights and their writings. This submission is both in English and Dutch.TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is proud to be associated with dexterity , excellence and prowess in the personality of Internationally acclaimed poet , editor and publisher emeritus Hannie Rouweler-( Blurb by Mbizo CHIRASHA).
hen a wordsmith masters the art of paradox, the lyrical presentation is usually immersed in spirited waters of love, raging waves of protest and heart raving belly pit passion. Greek lyricist and Poet Eva Petropoulou Lianoy masters the art of paradox, imagery sparkles with traces of defiance and is then stirred together with remnants of lost affection, the concoction becomes poetry, real poetry is a beverage we drink and we sleep with our sandals. It is a half rolled imboza heavily clutching on our word -hardened skulls from night to dawn. I drink paradox like we do to profoundly matured Kgalagadi red wine. TIME OF POET REPUBLIC is proud to present the profile feature of the acclaimed Greek lyricist, International recognized Writer of children literatures and Prolific literary arts projects curator Eva Petropoulou Lianoy.
