Performance Poet Nicole Peyrafitte your dub verse is mind raving and lyrical gymnastics are scintillates lowly spirited readers to resurrect themselves to activity. Your poetry heaves with heart throbbing rhythm, that of a dense canopy of papaya tree dancing on the passing wind and as well dangling with ripe yellow ready to be give us Vitamin C. Your art is mature and provokes the world to rise and see dots of darkness in the sun as such to realize patches of dirty on the undergarments of the moon .Your philosophy concocted imagery raves and cracks our mental boxes, like how stray tendrils of marijuana smoke spirals into the nostrils of a saint, a nonsmoker and wrecks his brains to speak to himself or herself. Mind boggling. Thus, the power of your voice is extraordinary. You are multi- talented , you juggle from philosophy into protest into resistance as you spew hard protest vitriol into the deadly , death itching eyes of heartless dare- murderers who killed and surrendered Georges Floyd s life onto the devil in cold blood .The poem about the painful death George Floyd is a hymn sizzling with grief and heart-wrecking pain .You are a humanitarian poet ,you hold revolutionary shield ,your poetic license and scythe of truth , your imagery to defend peace and freedoms that are subjected to bloodletting cruelty and life demising violence . And this has since plunged our earth, our world into a golgotha of death. Your resistance message is not only for the hushed murderers of George Floyd, it is a revolutionary signal to all those who thrive on spilling human blood for purposes of power, barbarism, revenge, savagery and retrogression. Lastly, your action-packed performance poetry video reflects the amount of energy and the emotion in it carries the extent of seriousness of matters being addressed by the showcase. Nicole Peyrafitte you are poet par excellence, an extraordinary voice to come out the world. Your hybrid mix of both page poetry, spoken word poetry, French and English language versions is a symptom of diversity of talents, cultural tolerance and inclusivity. POWERFUL. When I was thirteen my English tutor told me I was gifted and a prime candidate for a PhD Literature/Poetry. I loved John Donne’s dirges, Blake, Poe. I like artists Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo, Dali, Max Ernst, Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo and the Pre-Raphaelites. In the main, paintings and poems that told allegorical stories, often had mythological or classical themes and took me as a reader into alternative realities. The idea that art and poetry were symbiotic associations of one another appealed to me. I wasn’t interested in poets like John Betjeman or artists like John Constable, I had a definite leaning towards the more Surreal, Abstract, Symbolist art and often the dark works of Otto Dix and Arnold Boecklin were a source of my fascination. I was beginning to display very strong signs of rebellion and refused to do what I was told to do by everyone. I remember writing a poem “Spaceage Depression” when I was thirteen and for a young girl to write as I did was the aftermath of much unspoken suffering and the precursor to a wild, tumultuous and extraordinary life! I remember my mother showing my grandfather what I had written in that poem and instead of saying something they both just stared at each other with very wide-eyes. It was like time stood still and it is a memory I have never forgotten. Many years later, before my mother passed on, she read a lot of my work - and I recited to and for her - she would always be silent and at the end I recall her saying “You don’t know how good you are – do you?” So my “mental box” or “heart cave” came into the world pre-programmed with a soul that had already been here many times and had many lives before and as life went forward I realised I wasn’t like a lot of children and I tried to “fit in” but most of the time it didn’t work. I became quite a loner and would walk for miles and miles alone as a teenager and had a spiritual relationship with Van Gogh at that time. Really, why would anyone want to bother having relationships with humans when there are human spirits already transitioned and calling out for my company! I found the spirits much more exciting and interesting as they had a full life on the planet before departing and those who committed suicide were always my best friends! “La tristesse durera.” (The sadness will last forever) VINCENT VAN GOGH

The poetic heave arouses our stream of consciousness. The musical word play sends you onto the poetic dance floor. And that you dance along to the afro -fusion of spoken word vibe and page poetry. The verbal percussion traverses with you back and forth into wonderland and then back into motherland. SPIRITUAL The rhythm intensifies and the reader speak in holy tongues. An African poetic incantation. The beat persists and dance throbs are drowned in satiric trances. Suddenly, the beautiful and spiritually electrified fusion pod -cracks into an emotional but entertaining halt. STYLE.
