Griot Mbizo Chirasha and Poet James Coburn writes Metaphors on the Palms of the Rainbow .

As do the souls of Men reflected on their actions and words in this arena of the incessant flow of the River of life that answers to humanity. From the land of the Brave (USA) and other accolades from history, comes James Coburn, a world acclaimed master story teller in verse. From the heart of Africa, the cradle of man, is the great griot black poet Mbizo Chirasha who has remained a fugitive from his home country of Zimbabwe for his courage and bravery in daring to question the leaderships in office about corruption and human rights abuse. What a twosome!! To read through their incredible book, METAPHORS OF THE RAINBOW, is to be invited to a surgical room where injustice is being addressed by un-apologetic poetic surgeons with no visible anesthesia, with microscopic detail. Sharp metaphors, drilling imageries and the prowess of a river smooth, sure and guaranteed knowledge of its power, delve deep into the social tumors of injustice as it’s stared at and condemned in classical hyperbolic phrases that ring into the readers ears long after putting the book down. Experience in the field of fighting injustices in human rights related situations, has birthed incredible verses that resonate with each man’s wordsmith excellent recital. That this book is dedicated to world poets of resilience, resistance, human rights crusaders and social justice advocates goes to showcase art rising to the fore of leadership in writing to right the wrongs that plague societies and individuals in our world. Come sample the awesomeness of the rainbow rich in its bitter sweet array of verses. A must read for all (Nancy Ndeke Author of A Bridge to a Bridge Through a Bridge)

As much as your poetry is more historical and its subject matters also dips their life -hardened fingers into matters of moral decadence, political decay and economic malaise. Literary giant Moaen Shalabia pens nerve-shredding and mind-jamming Verses

Moaen Shalabia pens grief -laden poetry depicting harsh realities of human struggles . His versifications are memoirs of death , war , psychological pain and emotional torture. The poems are in sync with the ghosts of war and mass exoduses in that land permanently haunted by unwinding bickering , political hatred and religious polarity . The passionately weaved imagery casts somber experiences of refugees of war suffering from both soul -shelling religious and class stigma in lands far away from their birthplace . It is a gory tale told by survivor of decadent moments and sorry times. Moaen Shalabia is an internationally renowned poet , his nerve -shredding and mind- jamming writings are fit to be patched among other great voices on podiums of literary stardom . The poet , writer and chronicler is widely published , translated and profiled around the globe. Doyens of Poetry Susan Joyner-Stumpf and Nancy Ndeke signatures October with WORDPLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL.

Nothing attracts me more than prowess and dexterity. For with these critical and creative ingredients. We are profoundly psyched up AND our literary consciousness is re-wired. WORLD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is an all-powerful, sweet but infectious read, it haunts the reader forever. It tastes mature like red wine in old wineskins. It smells seasons like first drops of the first rain. Thus, is a scorcher, it strikes the nerves like the giant tongs of the sun during the dry season. It’s a metaphoric blast furnace that blazes and fires up iron hearted earthly dwellers into a repentant humanity of pure steel, we are baptized by the intriguing imagery as we are ritualized by the smoking waters of satire. We are born again. WORLDPLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is heavy with subject matters that transcends from hope, death, disease, ecosystem, cultural anthropologies, biblical allusions, psychical exercises, climate change, menacing pandemics, positive change, race and perception change. WORLD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is poetry that coils your heart caves and you vomit the bile of sins. It blows up your mental boxes, you shiver and weep. It rips off satans doeks to expose zealots, charlatans and political maggots corrupting and rotting the beauty of this our beloved earth. It fumigates the pandemic infested air as the earth fails to breathe due to unbridled human cruelty and wanton sin. It exposes the now sorrowful baldheaded landscapes, once shining with the verve of flora and fauna. The whirlpool arouses the skeletal sandy riverbeds that were once upon havens of laughing hippos, cackling water hens and dancing fish. it is poetry that weeps and as such wiping tears of bereaved mothers that lost so many lives during the menacing seasons of the cantankerous corona virus. It is a beautiful but heart-rending epitaph to black lives lost in barbaric racial battles, a touching eulogy to the earth succumbing to the dramatic effects of climate change, heatwaves and hurricanes. This Wordplay is an embodiment of promise, lost hope, love, loss, pain, sunset and moonshine. It is a spiritual whirlpool to transfigure ill minded political goblins and evil-minded war devils to repent from terrorism and warlords. The lyrical dexterity is superbly concocted with reason , history , spirituality ,identity and more WORD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is a collaborative venture of Kenyan Poetry Tigress Nancy Ndeke and the Colorado Rockies Poetry Lioness Susan Joyner-Stumpf (Review by Mbizo CHIRASHA

Prolific American Poet D.A Gray packages gory diaries of war in a metaphorically rolled imboza of poetry.

Acclaimed Poet and Prolific Writer D.A Gray packages gory diaries of war in metaphorically imboza of poetry. He articulates negating effects of war with the mastery of a wood sculptor. The name Iraq is vehemently emphasized in this ragged chronicle of war diligently sewn together into black, red, white, ochre doeks of imagery and mist- veiled gowns of satire-(poetry). His writings are an expose of vagaries and complexities of inter-continental rifts with their resultant being life smashing poverty, grieving memories and irreparable and broken human dignities as war becomes a global menacing pandemic, gnawing peace and life like an incurable disease as rifles and other guns imbibe innocent blood like Satan- land. One reader or most readers might want to be persuaded to conclude that Gray is an American veteran of war, as part of the servicemen during the 1980s American and Iraq war, or might be forced to think that he was attached as a war correspondent in Asian Gulf during those years. Over and above D.A Gray is a prolific writer, brilliant chronicler of events and an Acclaimed American Poet. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is profoundly gratified to profile this one other great Poet. Global Poetry Response#blacklivesmatter

To state or chant ‘BLACK LIFE’S MATTER’ is not to say other lives don’t matter, it’s a reminder that four hundred years and counting, black lives didn’t matter enough. Not during the dark era of slave trade and its horrors on the African, not after slavery ended and blacks were left holding the short end of the stick. Economic deprivation, educational biases, color bars, institutional discrimination, where law applies selectively has had outright demonization of a people based on their color. So blacks were pushed against the wall of discrimination one more time and they snapped. The best so far out of a bad situation is that the movement is no longer about black. It is a race issue. And black skin, brown skin, white skin and all other hues in between are waking up to the horror of the black man’s burden on racial prejudice and accompanying monstrosities of infamy, where unarmed men die at the hands of law keepers instead of being protected. The human race is waking up to the disastrous truth of racial profiling where a man is a suspect because of his color. The human race is waking up to the questionable values of former slave masters holding dignified positions on streets and parks across Countries as honored statues. The human race is waking up to the truth that there are still deniers of the history and continuing terrorizing and even killing of black people. That the core agenda of BLACK LIVES MATTERS remains the integrity of human values based on its diversity, global recognition of said values, empathy for the final struggle for liberation against these idiosyncrasies, restoration of justice and internationality of those same human values goes to speak to a change whose time has come. The BLACK LIVES MATTER movement has so far demonstrated non-violent protests and civil disobedience to speak their needs against all the above shows the world that theirs is a cry to belong as men and not a war against a group or groupings.

Let the men and women of goodwill who recognize humanity as one human race, continue to speak out in letters, poetry, dirges, contributions, videos, as Global Poetry response is doing- #BLACKLIVESMATTER , A GLOBAL RESPONSE(  Guest reviewed /blurbed by  African Poetic Lioness NANCY NDEKE)
