Literary combatant Sydney Haile Saize decries social and political decadence pruning citizens into raggedness and moral nudity. He vehemently protests against wanton human rights abuse, the cruel hand of dictatorship and fist of violence thrashing freedom of expression and freedom after expression to pulp. Saize wields his spiked ink- gun to liberate his tyranny-stricken people from the hard grip of charlatanry, heavy dose of cheap propaganda beverage, from the heavy smashes of violent sloganeering. He speaks porcupine quill truth to the state system grinding human consciences under the wheels of political expediency. Revolutionary poet is a victim of dictatorial shenanigans by the unrepentant regime of his country of birth and xenophobia menace in the land of rainbows. Sydney Haile Saize is an unwavering literary combatant and has contributed countless poetry missiles at Zimbabwe We Want Poetry Campaign / Brave Voices Poetry Journal since 2017. Time of the Poet values are rooted in promotion of Diversity, Inclusivity and Creativity. And based on that it is vital to organize international Digital Literary Arts Collaborations with the goal of promoting Tolerance among communities, love, Diversity of Ideas, Dialogue and Togetherness. We need to celebrate Voices and as such feature them on the Digital Literary Arts Thickets. This time our Collaboration is based on Poetry and Flash Fiction that speak tolerance, peacebuilding, diversity of ideas and human freedoms. Thematic areas are Tolerating a Diversity of Ideas, matters of race, cultural diversity, peace -building, international Cultural integrations and tolerance. Situations like COVID -19 teaches us to embrace each other and work together for the good of selves and the entire world.
The poetic heave arouses our stream of consciousness. The musical word play sends you onto the poetic dance floor. And that you dance along to the afro -fusion of spoken word vibe and page poetry. The verbal percussion traverses with you back and forth into wonderland and then back into motherland. SPIRITUAL The rhythm intensifies and the reader speak in holy tongues. An African poetic incantation. The beat persists and dance throbs are drowned in satiric trances. Suddenly, the beautiful and spiritually electrified fusion pod -cracks into an emotional but entertaining halt. STYLE. And then later the echo and the dance dust float into the COVID 19 laced oxygen thickets, While the reader, the dancer sits back in awe revisiting the poetic rattle playing in his satire vexed mental box. ENAS SULEIMAN writes poetry that throb heart caves and rave mental boxes. Her micro-poems are turgid with reason, pregnant with meaning as they dangle with afro-fusionist vibe. The poetry also sags with the burden of war beaten memories of loss and pain. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is sincerely gratified to feature a Writer Poet from the great African land of Sudan. ENAS SULEIMAN with her verses that carry the drumbeat vibe and the verve of African dancer. SALUTATIONS- (BLURB by MbizoCHIRASHA).
Today at TIME OF THE POET Republic we celebrate poetry with prolific Poet, Professor DEWITT CLINTON. A great man of letters, distinguished literary arts doyen. Iconic and Acclaimed Poet. Professor Emeritus and dynamic wordsmith. Time of the Poet is greatly humbled to feature this versatile and vibrant. Man of Letters whose merits are beyond common reach. PROLIFIC. Professor Clinton's poetry is weaved with great tact, requisite zeal coupled with verbal dexterity and artistic prowess. The verses are turgid with reason while the rhythm is nothing less than captivating. His writers’ profile is elephantine, he swigged Canterbury tales to the dregs, dinned Shakespearean sonnets, munched the Metaphysics chocolates and the refreshing beverage is Paradise Lost and Langston Hughes protest becomes his dessert. ICONIC. Thank you greatly Distinguished Professor for affording us this literary platinum opportunity to the poetic wine from your wonder palm wine tree of artistic stardom. Let me hasten to note that this set of poems were previously published by Be-zine , Arts and Humanities as founded by our Poetry Tigress G JAMIE DEDES and Co- Edited by our Poetry Chef MICHAEL DICKEL during a collaborative April month gig. SALUTATIONS. by our Together We Rise – Blurb by TIME OF THE POET Curator, Mbizo CHIRASHA.
