We are marinated in salted waters of truth . Revolutionary writing , the poet paints gory images of OUR unrepentant earth as well her brush strokes sigh exclamation- marks of the promise of dawn. The hair -harrowing imagery reveals rot , gloom , pain , anxiety and faked happiness of the world haunted by sin , decadence and savagery .The poet in Laurent Caroline(Turunç) rebukes human society to abstain from vile and evil .She aims her poetic arrows onto the eyes of barbarians thriving on savagery , arrogance and ignorance. The revolutionary poet takes a swipe on selfish poets and writers , her peers . Laurent wants them to along avenues of truth and corrupt-less streets. She sings for the retain of earthly sanity by drilling literary consciousness our mental boxes . Her militant -revolutionary voice is oiled by rarity and candidness. Extraordinary. Nothing attracts me more than prowess and dexterity. For with these critical and creative ingredients. We are profoundly psyched up AND our literary consciousness is re-wired. WORLD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is an all-powerful, sweet but infectious read, it haunts the reader forever. It tastes mature like red wine in old wineskins. It smells seasons like first drops of the first rain. Thus, is a scorcher, it strikes the nerves like the giant tongs of the sun during the dry season. It’s a metaphoric blast furnace that blazes and fires up iron hearted earthly dwellers into a repentant humanity of pure steel, we are baptized by the intriguing imagery as we are ritualized by the smoking waters of satire. We are born again. WORLDPLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is heavy with subject matters that transcends from hope, death, disease, ecosystem, cultural anthropologies, biblical allusions, psychical exercises, climate change, menacing pandemics, positive change, race and perception change. WORLD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is poetry that coils your heart caves and you vomit the bile of sins. It blows up your mental boxes, you shiver and weep. It rips off satans doeks to expose zealots, charlatans and political maggots corrupting and rotting the beauty of this our beloved earth. It fumigates the pandemic infested air as the earth fails to breathe due to unbridled human cruelty and wanton sin. It exposes the now sorrowful baldheaded landscapes, once shining with the verve of flora and fauna. The whirlpool arouses the skeletal sandy riverbeds that were once upon havens of laughing hippos, cackling water hens and dancing fish. it is poetry that weeps and as such wiping tears of bereaved mothers that lost so many lives during the menacing seasons of the cantankerous corona virus. It is a beautiful but heart-rending epitaph to black lives lost in barbaric racial battles, a touching eulogy to the earth succumbing to the dramatic effects of climate change, heatwaves and hurricanes. This Wordplay is an embodiment of promise, lost hope, love, loss, pain, sunset and moonshine. It is a spiritual whirlpool to transfigure ill minded political goblins and evil-minded war devils to repent from terrorism and warlords. The lyrical dexterity is superbly concocted with reason , history , spirituality ,identity and more WORD PLAY IN A WHIRLPOOL is a collaborative venture of Kenyan Poetry Tigress Nancy Ndeke and the Colorado Rockies Poetry Lioness Susan Joyner-Stumpf (Review by Mbizo CHIRASHA
James Coburn masters the art of storytelling through verse. His poems bleach the racial misery clutching the land of promise, America. The protest poet treads on unusually ironical and paradoxical tarmacs, he vehemently interrogates the matters of black lives and questions the brutal violence against the black race through resistance poetry. The revolutionary verse-slinger rises beyond the usual and obvious as he puts American dictatorship at task against the background of the wantonly racial killings, with the cold-blooded demise of George Floyd, a callous act that received condemnation and demnation from the everything that breathes on earth. James Coburn speaks sand paper hard truth to power, charlatans and zealots have since become wolves and hyenas in broad light. The consciousness packed poetry is a biblical revelation and re- awakening tutelage to the grief laden and COVID 19 diseased earth gripped by hate, terrorism and racial violence. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is delighted to profile, publish and feature the master of protest and resistance poetry James Coburn. - (Blurb by Mbizo CHIRASHA).
Your stubbed verses glow with the oil of reason and as our patched readers throat and groping hearts are surrendered to swig grape-fruit juice of wisdom from jugs of suspense. The imagery captivates the mind and as well ripples our blood streams, while it reveals shadows walking stealthily behind mountains of life. The set of poems is refreshing and profoundly unusual. It is a diligently-curated dramatic monologue as our poet, writer, filmmaker speaks to her inner self and invisible silhouettes. Her dialogue with self-projects meaning and the reason abound. This presentation more than hybrid, it is an experimental versification exercise that assigns our psyches to jog like in a relay. Ruth Novaczek is a multi-genre arts personality, dabbling in poetry, long writings, filmmaking and experimental arts productions. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC salutes Diversity, Dexterity and Creativity, thus today we feature a mesmerizing Poet and Film Artist Ruth Novaczek. Together We Rise –(Blurb by Mbizo CHIRASHA).

Acclaimed Poet and Prolific Writer D.A Gray packages gory diaries of war in metaphorically imboza of poetry. He articulates negating effects of war with the mastery of a wood sculptor. The name Iraq is vehemently emphasized in this ragged chronicle of war diligently sewn together into black, red, white, ochre doeks of imagery and mist- veiled gowns of satire-(poetry). His writings are an expose of vagaries and complexities of inter-continental rifts with their resultant being life smashing poverty, grieving memories and irreparable and broken human dignities as war becomes a global menacing pandemic, gnawing peace and life like an incurable disease as rifles and other guns imbibe innocent blood like Satan- land. One reader or most readers might want to be persuaded to conclude that Gray is an American veteran of war, as part of the servicemen during the 1980s American and Iraq war, or might be forced to think that he was attached as a war correspondent in Asian Gulf during those years. Over and above D.A Gray is a prolific writer, brilliant chronicler of events and an Acclaimed American Poet. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC is profoundly gratified to profile this one other great Poet. I have read poems dressed in hot gowns of political metaphor. Most verses are fat with protest as Juvenalian satire is always carved onto the plaques of resistance as word-slingers spew resilience against unending earthly struggles. Poet Georgette Howington creatively changes the regular political narrative, she confidently struts onto the literary podium and her earth poetry dons green imagery. The rarity of her subject- lines is profoundly astounding given the current trending settings of pain yawn and groan. Poet Howington delves onto a unique but a special theme of environment and soil sciences. A multi-gifted wordsmith, environmentalist and conservationist. Her dictionary is in sync with natural life . We interdependent and interconnect to both earthly and water ecosystems. They play a pivotal role in our lives and we profoundly attach more value to them. Poems by Howington are gems of green revolution and glints of climate consciousness. TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC embraces diversity of ideas, cultural tolerance, inclusivity and creativity in the personality of distinguished environmentalist, agronomist and green earth revolutionary poet Georgette Howington- (Blurb by Mbizo CHIRASHA).
